This project combines the Library, Senior Center, and major site improvements in one project. This master-planned complex helped define the community, appealing to needs for learning, recreation, outdoor pursuits, and environmentalism. Its multigenerational elements pull various constituents of the community together in an environment conducive to interaction. The Library’s incorporation of genealogy and a local history room where patrons can research back issues of local papers and explore their family trees, and the use of natural materials indigenous to the area and interior design elements that reflect the local vernacular further illustrate the emphasis on Carrollton’s community heritage.

G+SAAN’s engineering office G&S Engineers performed building engineering services for this project. G&S also performed MEP Design for the renovation of the Food Lion at Hebron and Josey to create a 34,000-square-foot Library and design of a new 9,000-square-foot Library/Community Building at Crosby Road.
