SAAN is working on the master planning and architectural design of a confidential new energy plant in Western China. The new energy is a combination of solar and battery cells. The factory will have energy generation and storage. Like the Tesla Giga factories being built globally, this new energy plant is designed with a high degree of automation and artificial intelligence built-in.
Our design concept is to separate the production zone from the support zone with a multipurpose garden in between. The production zone includes a high-bay assembly building, a central testing facility which is the core function of the plant, and a control center that will double up as an on-site R&D and operational management. The support zone includes administration offices, a dormitory building, a cafeteria and gym building, and a central plant support building. The garden will work as both a buffer and a tie to both zones and as a symbol for how the new energy will help to create a healthy green environment.
A ring road is designed to route vehicular traffic to the perimeter of the complex. There are two dedicated loading and unloading yards, truck parking zones, and two internal utility courtyards for outdoor product testing and storage. Staff parking is in the basement garage with separate entry and exit ramps. Visitor parking at the front of the support zone. A two-level glass connector system is designed to provide staff circulation, plant operation, and maintenance routes, as well as forklift traffic in between the production buildings.
