Kaifeng is one of the oldest cities in China, with a history dating back to the Warring States period of 364 BC. Kaifeng is the old capital of Song Dynasty China. It was the city where Buddhism came to China. It is also where the earliest Chinese Jews settled down and formed a complete Jewish community since the ninth century AD. Recently, our NYC office prepared a preliminary analysis of the project program, scope, cost, and phasing for the proposed Chinese Jewish Cultural Heritage Center in Kaifeng.

This project proposes to build museums, synagogues, and other cultural facilities at the original site where early Chinese Jewish people settled down in Kaifeng.
