This data center complex is located on the outskirts of Xi-an inside the special economic zone near the XIY International Airport. It sits on a 400mx400m square-shaped site at an intersection. The program includes a data center, a call center, an R&D center, and offices totaling about 46,500 square meters.

Call centers in China have a much higher density than those in the US. To make the spaces visually feel larger without increasing square footage, we exposed ceiling structures for most spaces, especially at the perimeter of typical floors, and designed striking custom light fixtures. We used earth tones for walls and floors and used pure white color for accent and feature elements including most furniture to increase contrast and give an overall feeling of peacefulness for the overall office environment.
